DOMAIN THREE: INSTRUCTION

3a Communicating with Students

Clear explanations of what is expected are provided in my classroom on rubrics, on the goal sheet,  and sometimes even on a checklist.  Given a choice and given the information to meet the goal most students will strive for an "A,"  so I believe in giving them the information they need to go for it.  As I have shown in other domains, I also use a program called Edmodo to reinforce directions I give in class and provide electronic copies of any handouts I may give them. That way if they leave something at school, and they need directions to refer to at home, they can get on Edmodo and find the information they need. Below you will see some examples of rubrics, a goal sheet, edmodo directions, and blog comment directions I provided for my students as ways of communicating expectations.
