2c Managing Classroom Procedures 

 

To some my classroom, may seem like chaos, but if you step inside, watch, and listen, you will realize it is actually organized chaos. How else could a classroom of fifth graders take care of a ferret, two bunny rabbits, three chinchillas, two bearded dragon lizards, a sulcata tortoise, two guinea pigs, a painted turtle, whatever fish said painted turtles hasn't eaten yet, a tank full of a hundred trout, clean up all messes made with disinfectant, put away all containers and cleaning supplies, hand in homework, hang up bookbags, do lunch count and be in their seats with a laptop or iPad for Writer's Workshop by 9:00 am?  Did I mention students only begin arriving in the room between 8:35 and 8:40?
