DEN Ambassador Program - This year I led my colleagues through a professional developent program that allowed me to share my passion for building a PLN (Personal Learning Network.) Although the program focused on the Discovery Educator Network, we branched off into Edmodo and Twitter and other ways to find educators with like-minded questions and answers to our every day questions. We explored the ever useful "Spotlight on Strategies" in Discovery Education, and I even taught them how to make paper slide videos. Most of all, I think I formed a better bond with my colleagues.

 

University of Pitt Pymatuning Lab of Ecology/Creek Connections/East Elementary Cooperative -  Because of a t

training I went to this summer, I was able to form a cooperative with a University and College to create a brand new program for kids. It was not only a wonderful experience for our students, they extended the program to other school students, too, and it will be a regular fall outreach program they will offer each fall.  

 

Simple Machines Unit - I rewrote the curriculum for the fifth grade Simple Machines Unit.
